Healing from the Past. Moving Toward Wholeness
Faith-Integrated Counseling for Adults

Lisa Schniederjan, MA, LPC, offers a warm, faith-informed space for adults who may be carrying painful experiences, relationship wounds, or patterns that continue to affect their lives today.  She helps clients move toward greater emotional freedom, healthier relationships and a deeper senses of wholeness.

With more than 17 years of counseling experience, Lisa integrates sound psychological treatment with a deeply Christian understanding of the human person. She  is EMDR trained and has pursued specialized formation through the Theology of the Body Institute and the JPII Healing Center. Her approach incorporates trauma-informed therapy and, when appropriate and desired by the client, inner healing prayer.

Therapeutic Approach

Lisa believes our souls are like beautiful vases, created to receive, contain, and pour forth God's love and grace. Through the experiences of an imperfect world, cracks can develop through painful experiences, broken relationships, and wounds that have formed over time. Counseling can provide a safe place to understand and repair these deeper wounds so that clients can experience greater freedom, healing, and wholeness.

Rather than focusing solely on a diagnosis or the alleviation of symptoms, Lisa seeks to understand each client as a whole person. She helps clients explore the underlying roots of their struggles while developing the insight and resources needed to move toward lasting emotional and spiritual healing.

Lisa has been involved in mentoring and ministry within the Church since she was a teenager and is a member of the Catholic Psychological Association. Her Catholic faith and extensive formation inform her work while respecting the individual needs and goals of each client.
